Abstract

Mechanical Ventilators are an essential piece of equipment for patients suffering from viruses, smoke or toxins inhalation or breathing defects.

Overview

First Responders and emergency professionals provide millions of patients with these life saving devices either in the field or in the emergency department.

The goals of Mechanical ventilation:

• Achieve and maintain adequate pulmonary gas exchange
• Minimize risk of lung injury
• Reverse respiratory muscle fatigue
• Reduce patient work of breathing
• Optimize patient comfort
• To normalize blood gases and provide comfortable breathing

Inclusions

We are initially seeking to raise $4300 for each ventilator. This life saving equipped comes in a mains and battery for both hospitals, clinics and mobile applications.  Our ongoing goal is raise funds for up to 500 ventilators for hospital and Ambulance backup situations in the short term.

Availability

The Ventilators will be made available to hospitals, clinics and Paramedic teams in all localities and priority will be given to those areas that are in need of urgent attention.

Create a fundraising group

If you, your group or your community raise all the funds for one or many items then those items will be made available directly to a Hospital, Emergency clinic or Paramedic service in the locality of your choice. A plaque will also be placed on the item/s with your name or community as the donor/s for the life of the item.

Become a Volunteer Project Manager for this project

By becoming a volunteer First Responder Project Manager (FRPM) in your locality or company you can determine where the project will be allocated (whether it is a hospital, clinic, rescue unit, ambulance service etc), we will assist you in raising funds in any of our projects and provide you with templates, tools and fundraising information.
